BC advances to Beanpot title game

BOSTON (AP)—Carl Sneep had a goal and two assists to lead Boston College pastHarvard 6-0 in the semifinals of the 58th annual Beanpot hockey tournament onMonday night.
John Muse stopped 33 shots for his seventh career shutout. The Eagles(14-8-2) will play in the championship game next Monday against the winner ofthe late semifinal between Boston University (9-11-3) and Northeastern(11-11-1).
Brian Gibbons, the MVP of the 2008 tournament, had a goal and an assist forthe Eagles.
The Beanpot pits the Boston area’s four college hockey powers against eachother on the first two Mondays in February. Boston University has won 29—half— of the titles.
Harvard (5-12-3) has not won the Beanpot since 1993. Northeastern has notwon since ’88.
